For nearly 90 years, Alabama Farmers Cooperative (AFC) has been dedicated to the success of our member-owners by providing the essential infrastructure, resources and expertise they need to thrive. Our people are our greatest asset, and we value the meaningful work they do. We stay true to our cooperative roots by returning profits to our member-owners each year through patronage and equity retirement. Our commitment to sharing our success extends to our communities, allowing us to make a lasting impact on everyone we serve.

Serving Farmers Since 1936

Alabama Farmers Cooperative (AFC) has a rich history of supporting farmers since its inception in 1936. Originally established as the Tennessee Valley Fertilizer Cooperative in Decatur, AL, AFC has grown to include a wide range of services and facilities. All facilities operated by AFC are governed by local, farmer-owned cooperatives. Each member Co-op shares in the financial proceeds from AFC operations and benefits from the research and services of the entire Co-op system. Through diversity and strong leadership, AFC has grown to become one of the largest farmer-owned agriculture-related businesses in the Southeast.
